I remember reading years later about the dive in “Sea Frontiers,” a subscription to which (and to “Sea Secrets”) my parents gave me to augment all the hours of tidepooling I did as a kid. You’ll understand when I say the Trieste dive held way more fascination for me than that “other” journey in the Summer of 1969.
